About the Director

 Kathryn E. Sears was born and raised in England, where at age 19 she became a Christian. In 1979 she moved to the United States and started ministering locally. She taught and hosted children’s Bible clubs, ladies Bible studies, prayer meetings, ministered in nursing homes, and organized evangelistic outreaches.  She was the president of a Women's Aglow chapter for 10 years. She then started to travel internationally, taking the Word and the love of God through testimony, teaching and humanitarian aid.

Her mission trips have taken her out of the country over 35 times. She has ministered in the Ukraine, Haiti, Jamaica, Russia, Ghana, over 14 times in Cuba, 8 years in Liberia West Africa, and in the last 5 years as an itinerant teacher at YWAM Katmandu in Nepal, and as a minister of healing and deliverance in Nepal and several States in India. 

She is now the Director of Word and Deed Ministries, which was established in 2005 out of her passion to follow her calling to the nations. For the past six years the Lord has led her to Nepal, India, and the interior of several countries in West Africa. There, she has preached, taught, and led a team from village to village showing the Jesus movie and leading thousands to Christ.  Also, in the power of Jesus’ name, they have seen healings, deliverances,  and lives wonderfully changed.
